Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thank you, and next steps
over 1 year ago – Sun, Nov 20, 2022 at 07:09:39 AM

Thank you!

We are so grateful that each of you helped us to meet our funding goal, and several stretch goals, and we are really excited we get to bring Sonia's story to the world. Thank you!

What happens now?

Now, we know you all have a lot of questions about what happens next, and we have a lot of information to share on that subject. We will of course be busily working to produce all of the books and other goodies in the coming weeks, but we wanted to let you know what to expect on your side. We will make sure to keep you updated via Kickstarter updates as the project unfolds, but here is a quick overview of what will be happening soon:

First, you will be charged by Kickstarter soon if you have not been already. If there is an issue—a typo in your card number, you used an account that has since expired or been closed, etc.—you will receive a notice from Kickstarter. Please keep an eye out to make sure that if you get such a notice, you are able to address the issue.

Next, you will receive an email from BackerKit, a company we are working with that assists in the fulfillment process. This email will prompt you to complete a "survey" and contains a link to that end. This is not an opinion survey or market research or anything like that; it is an essential questionnaire that provides us with key information like your address. If you don't complete it, we won't know where to send your stuff! If you're anything like us, this email will be buried in your inbox within a day or two, so we recommend filling it out as soon as possible—you will be able to make changes later if needed. The emails from BackerKit will be sent in a staggered fashion over the course of about a week during the last week of November or first week of December. We will send another update to let you know when they start to go out, as well as one to let you know when they have all been sent.

Miss something during the campaign?

BackerKit will also allow you to manage your pledge, meaning you will be able to upgrade to a higher Kickstarter reward tier or add on additional items. As access to the pledge manager is only for Kickstarter backers, all items will still be offered at the original Kickstarter backer rates. We will have more details on this process in coming updates, but we can tell you that when you get into BackerKit to manage your pledge, you will still be able to add on more books, more Collector's Edition sets, more copies of The Rainbow and Alcestis, more bookmarks—again, all at the original Kickstarter backer prices—and we might have some additional goodies to offer as well, so keep an eye out for these updates!

Once again, thank you—each and every one of you—for believing in this project and helping us bring Two Hearts That Beat as One to life.

Endlessly grateful,

Monica Wasserman & Helios House Press

The final hours of the campaign!
over 1 year ago – Sat, Nov 19, 2022 at 07:00:00 AM

Hello everyone,

We are in the final hours of the campaign now. Thanks to your support, we have unlocked several stretch goals already. So far, you have unlocked improved paper quality, a custom bookmark ribbon,  an original frontispiece, and additional new material for the book. Maybe one more could be in reach on this last day?

In addition to sharing Sonia's story in her own words, the book is loaded with photographs and archival materials that give the reader a real feel for her life. We know that you will all appreciate everything that has gone into it and hope that you will convince any undecided potential supporters you might know to take the plunge with us.

And don't forget, if you haven't already secured them, you can still add on copies of her amateur journal, The Rainbow, containing stories by H.P. Lovecraft and other weird fiction luminaries, and of the edition of Euripides' Alcestis created by Sonia & H.P. Lovecraft. With a few more add-ons and a few more backers, we might yet reach that next stretch goal before the end of the day and have the opportunity to commission original art for the book.

Thank you again for your support.

Warm regards,

Monica Wasserman & Helios House Press

Thank you so much!

Hello backers,

Thank you so much for getting us to our funding goal! We are thrilled that we are going to be able to bring Sonia's story to all of you.

We have already passed our first two stretch goals, and have more lined up if we get a little more support. The next is for a lovely custom silk bookmark ribbon.

We are really excited about the book, which in addition to telling Sonia's story in her own words is full of photos and documents from throughout her life, all of the highest quality and in full color.

We are in the last two days of the campaign now, so please help us get the word out and maybe we can knock off a couple more of the stretch goals!

Thank you again for all of your support, and we look forward to sharing some dispatches from behind the scenes as we get to work on making these books a reality.

Kind regards,

Monica Wasserman & Helios House Press

Hello backers!

Two Hearts editor Monica Wasserman will be sitting down for a taped conversation about Sonia, Two Hearts, The Rainbow, Alcestis, and related with Sean Branney & Andrew Leman of the H.P. Their discussion will be included in future updates for this project, but we wanted to give you all the chance to submit a question or possible discussion point you might like to see covered when they chat. Sorry for the short notice, but if you have a question or topic related to Sonia or this book or the books included as extras, please feel free to drop it in the comments or message us directly tonight or tomorrow morning for possible inclusion in the discussion.
